At United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region (UWDOR), we believe kindness is a powerful force that can transform lives. It's about empathy, compassion, and a willingness to help others, no matter how small the gesture. As Mark Twain beautifully put it, "Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see."
Every fall, UWDOR celebrates the incredible individuals who are making a positive impact on our community through their acts of kindness. By choosing kindness, we create a more compassionate and harmonious world for everyone.
Do you know someone who embodies this spirit? We're looking for everyday heroes – a friend, a teacher, a colleague, a favorite community leader, or even your mother!
