It's the fifth set of hazardous waste collection events for 2026 at Orange County Transfer Station #1 at 21 Training Center Lane in New Hampton on Friday, August 28 for school districts, farms, municipalities and businesses who have PRE-REGISTERED; and on Saturday, August 29, from 9 AM until 3 PM, for residents with a valid ID showing County residency. No registration is required for the Saturday event for residents; however, ONLY HOUSEHOLD QUANTITIES will be accepted.

**THERE WILL BE NO PAPER SHREDDING SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR CESQGS OR RESIDENTS AT THESE EVENTS**
In addition, latex, acrylic and water-based paints will now be accepted along with oil-based paint at Orange County hazardous materials collection events through a partnership with PaintCare, a new paint stewardship program established by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
